Hip Extension at the Barre strengthens glute and hamstring muscles. In addition the standing tabletop starting position requires tremendous full body strength and alignment. There are two versions - One version has no verbal cues and the other version cues you will be able to follow precise and detailed verbal cues.
First practice with verbal cues version so that you can benefit from details about form, safety, muscle engagement. After you are familiar with the physical practice observe and write notes. Practice saying the phrases out loud. Finally use this (no verbal cues) version to follow along and practice saying out loud the script and words you have learned.
